Selling Point
For horror fans, the promise of scares is always going to be enough to pull you into the cinema, even when the dreaded R word is involved. And while Poltergeist wasn't as typically shocking as some of its contemporaries, it was beautifully creepy.
The promise of Sam Rockwell is another big selling point, considering he's rarely bad even in terrible films.
Reservations
It's a remake, which will put a significant number of nostalgics off before they even get anywhere near the cinema entrance. And there's definitely something iffy in the franchise water, given the diminishing returns the sequels enjoyed.
