25 Most Powerful Comic Book Movie Villains

10. Blackheart (Ghost Rider)

BlackheartBentley All of Ghost Rider's villains in the movies were poor but Blackheart, in particular, was unrecognisable from his comic book counterpart. That said, he was still pretty powerful. Blackheart was the son of Mephistopheles (who barely featured), but since he was born in Hell and had never fallen, he doesn't have any of his father's weaknesses and he's not affected by sacred symbols and places (he entered a church and blessed grounds like cemeteries) and light (which seemed to blind and cause pain to Mephistopheles). He possessed superhuman physical attributes such as strength and durability which enabled him to physically tussle with Ghost Rider, but he could "poison" anyone who he touched with sulfur, burning them from the inside. He could also sense humans by "smelling" their fear. Once he became Legion, all of his powers improved and he was said to be immortal, being able to recompose himself even when reduced to pieces by hellfire. His new-found power, however, was also his only weakness, since in the Legion form he actually possessed a thousand souls. Therefore, he was extremely vulnerable to Ghost Rider's Penance Stare.
