25 WTF Moments From Fantastic Four

14. The Love Triangle Comes Out Of Nowhere

Again proving that Hollywood doesn't think people will go see movies without at least a hint of romance, it's thrown in here for little rhyme or reason and then promptly snatched away. When Dr. Storm visits Victor, he asks him if Sue is in the experiment, implying some sort of past history, and when he sees Reed and Sue goofing off in the lab, he gets jealous, having a word with Reed about his professionalism. The movie sets all this up as an implication that it'll play into the drama later, but it's dropped almost instantly and pretty much not referred to again for the rest of the movie. It feels like this may have been a casualty of the rickety editing process, but hell, why not just delete it entirely rather than leave some remnants around?
