17. Ricky Is Barely In The Second Half Of The Show
Considering how much he contributes to the Golden Globes actually being worth watching, it's a shame that Ricky Gervais was conspicuously absent for much of the show's second half, disappearing for up to about half an hour at a time before returning to field out a zinger or two. This isn't the first time this has happened, though: rumours persisted during his earlier stints that his sudden disappearance was due to the show's producers telling him to tone down the mean jokes. That almost certainly isn't the case this time (and if so, it'd be mightily stupid of the producers to hire him for a fourth time), but even so, where the hell did he go?
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
