5. We Wish We Could Watch: Hamlet from Last Action Hero
This fun adventure-comedy stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Austin O'Brien and, while the movie was both a critical and commercial flop upon release, also features one hilarious film-within-a-film which we totally wish we could watch.
At the start of Last Action Hero, viewers are treated to a fake trailer for an extra-cheesy, action-packed adaptation of William Shakespeare's famous revenge tragedy Hamlet.
Featuring deliciously over-the-top dialogue, including "You killed my father... Big mistake!", as well as a deliberately schlocky voice-over, this faux trailer is one of the highlights of this otherwise underwhelming film.
With clunky special effects, terrible acting, and questionable changes to the source material, Hamlet would likely rival The Room as a film so terrible it's actually insanely watchable.
Starring Schwarzenegger in the titular role, this hypothetical hit movie would provide countless hours of entertainment. While Shakespearean scholars would likely be appalled by the anachronistic explosions and gun battles, we reckon this adaptation would be considered by many as a much-treasured guilty pleasure.
