5 Reasons Why We Love The Die Hard Film Series

diehard Back in 2007, when I heard that the Die Hard franchise was to be given a revival following a near-decade absence from the big screen, like most, I had my reservations. My chief concern was that Bruce Willis had changed a lot from his rampaging, youthful days of 1995 when he teamed up with Samuel L Jackson for the riotous Die Hard with a Vengeance and that at 51, he could no longer portray the action hero that we all knew and loved. Thankfully, I was mistaken, and Die Hard 4.0, as it became known, wasn't actually a bad film. It certainly wasn't as good as its three predecessors, but Willis, who had since lost an awful lot of hair, certainly didn't lose his ability to put in a snarling, tooth-gritted all-action performance that made the Die Hard series such a successful action franchise in the nineties. This week, cinema-goers will head to the theatres to watch Bruce Willis and John McClane in action yet again for a fifth iteration of the series, with A Good day to Die Hard set to hit theatres this Thursday. I thought therefore that now was as good a time as any to detail the five reasons why we love the Die Hard series. Click "Next" to get started.
