5 Reasons You Need To See Power/Rangers

1. It Was A Complete Surprise

Power/Rangers comes from film-makers who are both passionate fans and industry professionals, and therefore pretty much everything about the project is as good as you could expect. With star names, highly choreographed action sequences, and based on a much loved property, the fact that it came as a complete surprise was astounding. Technology has changed rapidly in the last 20 years, and in the modern world of instant access social media, there's not much that gets past going viral. We live in the age of rumours and spoilers, with fans devouring and examining any tiny morsel of information they can get their hands on, before their chosen film/TV series/comic has been released. And yet despite all this, a project of this magnitude was planned, filmed, and put together with no-one outside of the production knowing about it. While there were rumours surrounding Katee Sackhoff filming something, no-one knew what it was, and many believed a Marvel project to be the most likely answer. Instead it was a unique piece of indie film-making that went from being completely unknown to making headlines everywhere in a matter of hours. We also live in an age where remakes and adaptations are nothing new, and many often fail to deliver. Representing just an idea rather than a full rebooted franchise however, Power/Rangers is both respectful yet refreshing at the same time. Whether you're a fan of the original, or had never even heard of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers before, Power/Rangers is well worth just 14 minutes of your time. You never know, you might be pleasantly surprised. Again.
