50 Movie Death Scenes That Left You TRAUMATISED

Arguably, there aren't many cinematic serial killers more famous than Seven's John Doe (Kevin Spacey). The villain of David Fincher's masterpiece only killed those he deemed guilty of committing one of the seven sins, and unlike most movie killers, he won.

With his grand plan almost complete, successfully evading Detectives Mills and Somerset (Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman), Doe allowed himself to be caught in order to complete his quest. This involved both the envy and wrath killings, something that included a death that didn't even need to be seen to be both shocking and disturbing.

This was not only his envy killing, but the catalyst for wrath, the finale of the whole piece. Envious of Mills' relationship and happy life with his wife, Tracey (Gwyneth Paltrow), Doe directed Brad Pitt's character to a small box, containing her severed head. No one watching needed to even see what was inside the box to be truly disturbed by this.

Unsurprisingly, Mills was unable to contain his anger, and in shooting John Doe dead, he completed the wrath killing, ensuring that even in death, John Doe manipulated him perfectly, and won. He got exactly what he wanted by committing one of the most unimaginable horrors possible.
