6 Reasons Daniel Craig Will (Probably) Do Another James Bond Movie
2. Eon Clearly Really Want Him
If there's one thing everything else we've discussed - narrative conclusion, the money - points to, it's that Eon are really reluctant to let go of Craig. He openly stated he pretty much hated making Spectre on that film's press tour, and yet they're actively trying to get him back (or at least leaving the door open for his return). Now those are gratcious employers.
Obviously part of this will be that he's damn fine as Bond (and probably falls asleep in mansion every evening chuckling about those James Blonde tabloid headlines), although there's also a financial reason too. He's the most commercially successful Bond since Connery - his films are the four highest grossing in franchise and adjusted for inflation Skyfall only has Goldfinger and Thunderball to compete with for top spot - and, when you consider he's playing in a much more saturated market where the series isn't novel, that's real testament to his audience appeal.
Even Spectre, a disappointment in comparison to its predecessor, ranks in the top half (along with even bigger let-down Quantum Of Solace). This is the most consistent Bond ever, and that's not something any self respecting studio would give up without a fight.
