6 Ways DC Can Make A Wonder Woman Movie That Doesn't Suck

3. In The Company Of Women

Wonder Woman cannot succeed in isolation. She needs other complicated and compelling female characters to interact with. This seldom happens even in movies with female leads. If women are allowed to speak to each other at all it is usually only to have a dialog concerning a male character. How refreshing it would be to hear two or more women discussing the problem at hand rather than the love interest. Perhaps Diana€™s family could make an appearance. It would be interesting to watch her interacting with her fellow Amazons. Some would have us believe that men will not attend movies featuring a woman as a hero. I doubt this is true. If the movie is compelling enough everyone will want to see it. Super hero movies are a fabulous way to escape the realities of everyday life. They can also be metaphors for current problems €“ a way to explore an issue in a safe environment. There is no reason Wonder Woman cannot provide the same benefit while featuring a female in the lead role.
