7 Things Fans Demand From Loki TV Show
4. Up The Costume Ante
Loki’s ‘Reindeer Games’ horned crown is an iconic part of Hiddlestone’s portrayal, but aside from that his costumes have been fairly tame by comics Loki’s standards.
It’s not that his outfits are drab; his green, black and gold royal robes have a tasteful elegance, and the suit civilian Loki wears in Ragnarok only added to his credibility as a future James Bond.
But ‘by comics Loki’s standards’ is a crucially important distinction. The character inked into Marvel’s pages by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby has a flair above and beyond anything we’ve seen on screen so far. Seriously, his wardrobe puts Sharon Needles and Violet Chachki to shame.
Will we see fur in the TV show? In Norse mythology, Loki is closely related to wolves and several of his comic book adventures see him decked out in cloaks or shoulder pads of the finest fur. Or perhaps he’ll go even more decadent and add more gold splashes than a Trump Tower toilet.
Whatever direction the costume department go in, you get the feeling Loki needs to look stunning.
