3. Scarlett Johansson Parodies The Selfie Debacle - Don Jon
Men of the world collectively cheered when they discovered that a few erotic camera phone selfies - courtesy of Scarlett Johansson - had made their way online (by accident, of course). Yes, even somebody like Scarlett couldn't prevent some nude pictures that she presumably snapped for her then-boyfriend from manifesting themselves on this thing we call the internet. And although the actress was upset about the whole debacle, it's good to see that she was willing to parody the incident in Joseph Gordon-Levitt's debut feature Don Jon. In Don Jon, Scarlett plays Barbara Sugarman, the kind of girl your dad would love you to bring home but your mother would clearly disapprove of (based on those tight dressed alone). Barbara, a modern gal if ever there was one, is also the type to take phone selfies and post them online, which she does on a number of occassions in the movie. It can't be a mere coincidence that Barbara's selfies look so similar in aesthetic to Johansson's personal snaps. Gordon-Levitt and the actress must've known comparisons would be made, but it shows a good amount of self-awareness and "who gives a sh*t?" on Johansson's part that she was happy to poke fun so soon.
