7. Angel Got Cancelled, But The Story Continued

Angel is one of the most well-known spin-off properties in horror. The series followed the titular character as he moved to Los Angeles and continued the fight against the things that go bump in the night. It carried much of the same energy as its sister series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and fans loved it.
The series concluded its fifth season on a big cliffhanger, with Angel and crew facing off against a monstrous horde of unbeatable baddies. Unfortunately, while there was still plenty more story to be told, Warner Bros cancelled the show, meaning season six would never appear. Thankfully, a comic-book series stepped in to pick up the pieces.
Angel: After The Fall (often known as Angel: Season Six) was a canonical continuation of the story. It followed Angel's attempts to save the city of Los Angeles, which had been condemned to Hell thanks to his actions in the show.
