While Jason Voorhees is the iconic killer who's synonymous with the Friday the 13th franchise, it was famously his mother Pamela who was on the rampage in Sean S. Cunningham's original Friday the 13th picture.

Mrs. Voorhees may have hacked up a whole host of disposable teens in that 1980 film, yet plucky Alice Hardy managed to put a stop to Pamela's killing spree by chopping her head off. By the time of Friday the 13th Part 2 a year later, Alice was swiftly added to the body count of this burgeoning franchise.

Picking up the action two months after the events of the first movie, Part 2's opening act finds Alice doing her best to put the trauma of her Camp Crystal Lake stay behind her. For Alice, this recovery hits a roadblock after she finds the decapitated head of Pamela Voorhees in her fridge, before Jason stabs Alice in the temple with an ice pick.

After this shocking death, Friday the 13th Part 2 jumps ahead five years and Jason is soon on his way to becoming the beloved killer that horror hounds know and love. And when thinking about it, despite her death being a massive surprise upon a first viewing of the sequel, it's fair to say that Alice's demise is the first real time that we see Jason Voorhees in action.
