8 Most Unexplainable Horror Movie Moments

2. Danny's Hallway Ride In 'The Shining'

Stanley Kubrick was a masterful storyteller, and his library of films have little to no problems in them at all. The man was a perfectionist (as any actor who worked with him will attest), and he didn't make mistakes. Since that's typically how his movies turned out, when there is something odd, it stands out.

In The Shining, the infamous hallway scene sees Danny riding his Big Wheel around the hotel until he turns a corner to find two twin girls at the end of the hallway. They beckon him to come on over and play, but they shouldn't be there, and it's seriously creepy.

Regardless, the scene was important for the movie, and it's one of those scenes that sticks with a viewer decades after seeing the film. That being said, there is a problem with it, and it's unclear if it was a mistake or done to confuse viewers.

If you were paying attention, Danny started out on the first floor, but after he turns a corner, he's somehow on the fourth floor of the Overlook Hotel. Basically, he couldn't have ridden his Big Wheel the way he did, and rewatching the scene offers up some confusing images that don't explain how he managed to get up there in front of the twins.
