Of course, this was part of a flashback sequence and when The Way We Was first aired, the twist was over a decade old, putting the joke definitely on Homer. Still, that doesn't make it any less of a spoiler, especially for a younger generation.
Although, more so than any other film on this list, it is admittedly unlikely that too many people were spoiled by this; if you're old enough to watch The Simpsons, you're probably going to know the score with Anakin, regardless of if you've seen Star Wars or not.
