The Problem: The action scenes needed punching up.

The Solution: John Wick director Chad Stahelski has been brought in to help.

Since Birds of Prey is due out next February and has already been screened for a select few, a finished cut does exist somewhere, and if recent reports are anything to go by, its action scenes needed some work.

To be clear, there's been no confirmation that this is the case, but the fact that John Wick director Chad Stahelski was recently enlisted to design and shoot new action material does hint that the film was having issues in the thrills department, and needed some buffing up.

And when your problem is underwhelming action scenes, arguably the best thing you can do is get someone like Stahelski involved. Not only has he directed each film in the John Wick franchise, but he's worked on The Matrix, The Crow, and even lent a hand on Captain America: Civil War.

In short, Chad Stahelski is to action what Colonel Sanders is to chicken, and Birds of Prey's most explosive scenes will be all the better for his addition.
