3. Ivan Rassimov
Ivan Rassimov was an Italian actor of Serbian descent. His contribution to Euro Cult cinema is pretty impressive. He started his career as an actor after graduating from university. Ivan appeared frequently in villainous roles and his career started when The Giallo phenomenon was kicking off, so he played a number of roles in noted Gialli such as Sergio Martino's superlative films The Strange Vice of Mrs Wardh and Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key. Fun and games were in store for Rassimov as in 1972, he starred in proto Cannibal movie - The Man From the Deep River (directed by Umberto Lenzi) - in which he has a terrible ordeal at the hands of the natives. Rassimov became an icon of the Cannibal movie sub genre when he starred as a weird Jim Jones-esque cult leader in Eaten Alive!. He also worked with Ruggero Deodato in Last Cannibal World, and he fitted in a few Black Emanuelle appearances, namely Emanuelle in Bangkok and Emanuelle Around the World. Rassimov tragically died before his time in a motorbike accident. He will, however, go down in history as a top class Euro Cult performer.
