After this year's release of the confusingly titled third in the Jumanji series - Jumanji 2 - and the upcoming The Secret Life of Pets 2, briefly-hired Oscar host Kevin Hart is going serious, according to THR.

He's set to star in the just-announced adaption of Matt Logelin's heartbreaking, affirmation memoir "Two Kisses For Maddy," whose film version will be called Fatherhood. It follows Logelin and his infant daughter Madeline who move to India for two months after the death of his wife and her mother. It's being called a dramedy, so it won't be fully serious, but anything that kicks off with something as sad as a sudden death is bound to be weepy.

It was originally going to be a Lifetime movie, which is worrying, but hopefully director Paul Weitz will get more out of it.
