9 Disney Child Stars Who Didn't Go Off The Rails

Hilary Duff is fondly remembered for starring as awkward teen Lizzie McGuire in the acclaimed series of the same name. The merchandise alone earned Disney $100 million during its three-year run. The show spawned a film, which gave us the classic nostalgia hit 'This Is What Dreams Are Made Of' and plans for further series only fell through when Duff's mother demanded more money for the teen star.

Duff was relatively active in the years that followed, releasing a few tepid albums and starred in films such as A Cinderella Story and Cheaper by the Dozen. She continues to act occasionally but ultimately saved her Disney millions and is now a mother of three.

Aside from a recent scandal in which Twitter hurled ridiculous accusations at her, she has managed to otherwise maintain a trouble-free adulthood. A reboot of her iconic series was on the cards until very recently when artistic differences within the creative team threw the whole project into disarray.
