2. Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer (1986) - Otis
Okay, so the movie is essentially about the serial killer Henry. However, Henry makes serial killing like a cold, emotionless way of life. He is totally dispassionate. Far more egregious is his erstwhile jail companion Otis. Henry goes to stay with Otis, who had been doing time for drug dealing. Otis' sister Becky lives there too. Henry inducts Otis into the world of serial killing when he kills two prostitutes in front of him. Otis is without remorse and eagerly accompanies Henry on his killing sprees. Two vile incidents stand out. One is the home invasion and killing of a family - Otis practically molests the dead woman and is entranced by the footage of the murders which they had filmed whilst the carnage took place. The next incident is Otis' molestation of Becky his sister which marks him out as a polymorphous pervert. I find it interesting from an intellectual point of view that I find Otis more of a scumbag than Henry. It is probably because he enjoys killing whereas it is merely a way of life for Henry. In the end, Otis is killed and dismembered by Henry. The sight of his decapitated head near the end of the film mollifies my rage at Otis.
