9 Incredible Movie Scenes Let Down By Awful Acting

4. The Dark Knight - SWAT Riding Shotgun

Joker Randall Death Scene
Warner Bros.

In the second and best installment in the Christopher Nolan Trilogy, a nail-biting sequence shows Batman protecting a police convoy that is escorting Harvey Dent through the streets of Gotham, all the while Joker and his crew execute a devastating ambush that could shake the city to its core.

We know this because not only do we see and hear it, but a SWAT officer riding shotgun in the police truck with a masked Commissioner Gordon feels the need to narrate everything we see. From his first line "Hope you got some moves pal..." to his "That's not good! Okay that's NOT good!" this guy is absurd.

Aside from Jim Gordon, nearly all the cops in TDK are ridiculous, and we should really hold every cop in this scene accountable for the bad acting. But the extra riding shotgun in particular contributes the most to the cringing cutaways; to the point where it would have been better if he spoke once at the beginning, and after that he were just muted.

We shouldn't be too harsh, after all he didn't sign up for this!

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
