Which Film Ruined It? Dawn Of The Dead How Did It Ruin It? By turning a shopping centre into a claustrophobic nightmare encircled by monstrous zombies. Both George A. Romeros original Zombie classic and Zack Snyders remake depicted hundreds of the undead lurking outside of a mall complex, so you can take your pick between which one scared you the most. Either way, in both cases, Dawn Of The Dead turned a location synonymous with the innocence of Saturday shopping into a vast, daunting jail of a building. Ok, ok. Some people may consider the mall to be enough of a nightmare without the unwelcome presence of the undead. But for those who previously loved a saunter round the shops and nibble at the food courts, Dawn Of The Dead risks ruining these activities in the way it turns the typical American mall into a dark, panic-riddled prison. Youd probably fancy your chances against Romeros sluggish, groaning zombies as opposed to Snyders fast, roaring, slobbering creatures. But lets face it, no matter which set of Dawn zombies you talk about, the mall has a whole host of different connotations because of these classic horror flicks.
