9 Things That Need To Happen Before John Wick Ends
6. John Will Team Up With The Bowery

Chapter 2 introduces The Bowery King, played by Laurence Fishburne, who also appeared with Reeves in The Matrix Trilogy. He oversees a network of spies who slink through the city disguised as homeless people. Think of Fishburne’s Bowery King as the symbolic polar opposite of McShane’s Continental manager.
Chapter 3 ends with John being planted at the feet of the Bowery King, both of them having been savagely wounded after the High Table has turned against them. Presumably, Chapter 4 will see the two of them teaming up together to take on Winston and the High Table. This turn of events promises a larger role for Fishburne in the upcoming chapter, which is a veritable role reversal between the Bowery King and Winston, who was John’s ally in the first three films.
The impoverished taking on the elite? Could this be some social commentary snuck in by the filmmakers? Oh who cares, it’s bound to be a rollicking good time!
