9 Video Games You Had No Idea Were Being Made Into Movies

7. Devil May Cry (DMC)

dmc-devil-may-cry-wallpaper-in-hdHuh? You remember Devil May Cry, don't you? It's that spooky Japanese hack 'n' slack series - the one where you play as pretty boy/demon hunter Dante, who spends most of his time jumping around castles like a freakin' nutcase, killing anything and everything that comes even remotely near him. As one of Capcom's more profitable and popular game franchises, it probably doesn't come as much of a surprise to learn that this is currently being prepped for a transition to the world of film, though the movie will be based on the most recent game and is being prepped as another franchise. Could It Work? You know, you could definitely do something with Devil May Cry, though I'd argue that Screen Gems - who have handled all the Resident Evil movies to date and have signed a deal to adapt this - aren't the right people to do it. We've all seen how poorly the RE movies worked out, right? They barely resembled the great games they were based on at all. Give this to the Wachowskis or something, and I think this thing could be a right laugh. Can't help but feel this is still a tad dated, though. In its current positioning, all I can say is: Devil May Cry is going straight to hell.
