Alien: Covenant - 15 Blunders That Ruined The Film
8. Elizabeth Shaw Dies Off-Screen
Elizabeth Shaw's fate is eventually revealed in David's lab, where contrary to his original assertion that she died during a crash-landing on Origae-6, she was apparently experimented on and grotesquely mutilated by David both before and after dying.
We're briefly shown a glimpse of Shaw's dismembered body, which appears to have been pumped full of preservatives giving it an even more ghastly appearance, which while appropriately horrific, is a pretty sad end for a character the audience was pretty invested in.
Prometheus implied the next movie would see David and Shaw exploring the Engineer homeworld, so to kill off a decent character (despite Noomi Rapace's atrocious accent) in such half-baked fashion was just incredibly disappointing. She actually ends up having more screen time in the YouTube prologue than in the movie, which might be the most heinous crime of all.
