All The Warner Bros. Films Coming To HBO Max In 2021

In yet another James Wan production, Malignant is an original horror story that will reportedly blend genres and tackle themes not yet explored in other Wan directed films.

Not much is known about the film's story besides this, as most of the details have been kept under strict secrecy. Wan has been quick to note however, that the story is a wholly original one, and not based on any other existing works.

Written by both Wan and Wan's wife, Ingrid Basu, Malignant will star Annabelle Wallis, who previously worked with the horror director on the Annabelle franchise. Wonder if that ever got confusing for either of them - Annabelle working on Annabelle.

Rounding out the cast is Jake Abel (fresh from Supernatural), George Young and Maddie Hasson. As nothing yet is known of the story, it is sadly unknown what characters (or even what kind of characters) any of the performers will be playing.

But given Wan's prestige as a horror director, as well as his ability to create new, original scenarios, it's quite safe to assume that horror fans won't be disappointed whenever this creeps around the corner next year.
