From Taylor Sheridan, who wrote the excellent Hell or High Water as well as directing the brilliant Wind River, comes a new, female driven neo western based on the book by Michael Koryta.

Set in Montana, Angelina Jolie plays Hannah Faber, a lookout for forest fires who must protect a teenage murder witness who is pursued by the ruthless Blackwell brothers.

Jon Bernthal has also been cast, and it's likely he'll play one of the killers, the other being perhaps Nicholas Hoult or Aiden Gillen, both of whom will star in the film.

And hey, who wouldn't want to see a cowboy themed Punisher fighting Angelina Jolie in a beautiful forest? Given the fact that a large part of the original novel details real and researched survival tips, who knows? Maybe you could even class the film as educational.

As Sheridan's back catalogue of work is predominantly made up of the neo western genre, it's fair to say that another western film will fall directly into Sheridan's wheelhouse.

If it's anything like the quality of Hell or High Water (which Sheridan won an Oscar for), then Those Who Wish Me Dead will be a twisty and violent look at rural America.
