18. Loki Is Still Alive

The Rumour

On the back of set photos that appeared to show Tom Hiddleston back for Avengers 4 (though who knows what time period they were set in), a theory suggested that Loki had deceived Thanos into believing he was dead.

An extension of the theory also suggested he was actually masquerading as Bruce Banner, which is why he couldn't Hulk out, though the reality is that that makes no sense. If he could create a Banner illusion, he could create a Hulk one.

Either way, there's still a rumour that he did dupe Thanos and lives on.

It's far more likely that Hiddleston's involvement in Avengers 4 is down to either a time travel sequence or an alternate dimension, meaning - strictly speaking - he IS still genuinely dead.
