8. There's An Alternate Ending
As Amazon.co.uk have just announced to customers, the Avengers: Age Of Ultron blu-ray is now available for pre-order, and as suspected there's an extended cut included (presumably including a commentary from Joss Whedon).
Even more intriguingly, the pre-order emails they've sent out also confirms that the film will come packaged with an Alternate Ending. Whether that means Whedon changed his mind about how to end it after he was forced to cut it by so much or not remains to be seen, but he did have to call some of is key cast back for reshoots.
Would It Have Worked?
Nobody actually knows what the alternate ending is at this stage (answers on a post-card), but there is certainly a case for a much darker ending that leaves the Avengers heading down the path to Civil War.
If it's that, then you should be intrigued.
