Avengers: Age Of Ultron Ending - What Happens And What Does It Mean?
6. Thor Returns To Asgard To Research The Infinity Stones
What Happens: In the middle of the film, inspired by a Scarlet Witch-infused villain, Thor finds out about the Infinity Stones, learning that four of them (on top of the Tesseract, Aether and Power stone, Loki's Sceptre holds the yellow Mind Stone) have been uncovered in almost as many years. After Ultron's defeated, he returns to Asgard to find out what exactly's going. What Does It Mean: Thor is the main character who concerns himself with the Infinity Stones development, putting the onus on him to carry this storyline forward. At the very least, they won't be at the forefront of events in Captain America: Civil War, probably providing at the least the motivation for the events of Thor: Ragnarok. Thor's vision, seen multiple times in the film, is prophetically telling of Asgard's destruction, strongly suggesting that the Ragnarok subtitle of the Thor sequel is referring to the apocalyptic event of Norse legend, not that clone arc from the mid-naughties.
