4. Lay The Foundations For A Masters Of Evil

The Masters of Evil have had a number of different line-ups and incarnations in the Marvel comic books - one of the most prominent of which was led by Ultron himself. It would, therefore, be a very interesting little addition to the movie if it was hinted that something similar was going to happen at some point in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We know that Baron Wolfgang von Strucker is in this movie - and it seems odd to include him if he wasn't going to communicate with Ultron in some way - so if the two were to team-up, or be seen talking in a mid or post-credits sequence at the end, it would be a nice hint at what might be coming. Loki is still at large in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well, so some kind of interaction between him and Ultron, or between Emil Blonsky/Abomination and Ultron (Ultron could, perhaps, hack in to the facility in which Blonsky is being held captive and set him free) would really excite people about the potential of a major villain team-up in the future.
