6. Everybody Hates Brie Larson

Except, they don’t.

While Captain Marvel was wildly successful, grossing over $1 billion, a few disgruntled fans have not been shy about voicing their discontent at Larson’s casting.

This stems not only from the fact she’s the MCU’s first woman to get a solo flick, but also because she pointed out that A Wrinkle In Time wasn’t made for older white men, so probably shouldn’t be reviewed exclusively by them either.

This has earned her a label as an SJW, and led to a small minority obsessing over their hatred of her until it boils over to fervent levels.

These anti-Larson fanatics aren’t content to simply hate her on their own though. Through wildly biased interpretations of body language, they’ve determined the cast all hate her too. Even Don Cheadle’s tweet explicitly refuting this has been analysed and interpreted as meaning the opposite of what it literally says.

It’s true she doesn’t have an easy going, friends for years kind of vibe that a lot of the cast share, but that’s because 22 movies in, a lot of the cast have been friends for years. By the next team up, Larson will be settled and there’ll be a new cast member allegedly being shunned.
