6. The Hulk Loses An Arm

The Rumour

Easily one of the most pervasive and believable rumours was that The Hulk would end up losing an arm over the course of the movie, because we know how much Disney just loves liberating people from their limbs.

It was basically an open secret that Professor Hulk would be the only Avenger capable of wielding the new Infinity Gauntlet, and as a result he'd be tasked with wearing it in order to perform a second snap.

And so, it wasn't a huge leap to consider that the power of the snap would be enough to either sever The Hulk's arm completely or damage it enough that it required amputation.

After all, Infinity War made it abundantly clear that Thanos' snap left the Mad Titan in pretty rough shape, so why not worse for the big green dude?

The Truth

Though the logic was spot-on, this didn't actually happen - but it almost seemed like it was going to. Indeed, The Hulk is deemed the rightful candidate to wear the Gauntlet and, yes, he performs the second snap which causes him great physical damage.

However, during The Hulk's final appearance in the movie - at Tony Stark's funeral - he's seen swearing a sling and his arm seems to be very much in tact, if likely badly injured for the foreseeable future.

A character does have their arm cut off early in the movie - that's Thanos, of course - but surprisingly enough The Hulk ends the movie recuperating from his heroic act with two arms.
