3. Cut Off The Branches?

The exchange between Bruce Banner and The Ancient One about timeline restoration and Cap's plan to go back and put the Stones back are designed to "cut off all the branches" of the timeline they created, in the film's own words.

Except, that's not true either is. If you accept that Cap marrying Peggy didn't cause a branch even though it should have, there's another branch that nobody bothers to cut off at all - the 2014 timeline that is completely changed by the decimation of Thanos and his army.

In that branched reality, Thanos isn't after the Stones, Ronin never dies (so Xandar might be destroyed), and the Guardians never come together. Why didn't anyone care about that branch?
