Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Things That Must Happen In Part 2
6. An Avenger Must Make The Ultimate Sacrifice
Though an Avenger will most likely end up dead during the climax of Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1, the sheer scope of its sequel (and the size of the cast) also means that it seems likely that somebody will have to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to destroy the Infinity Gauntlet once and for all, in what will be the film's most dramatic and heartbreaking scene. Chances are, this being an Avengers movie by name, that said character will also be an Avenger. And who's left at this point? Odds are it'll be either Iron Man or Captain America - whichever one is alive. Though it's a long way off, given that these actors have both talked about leaving the MCU at the end of Phase Three, it makes sense that they could die. Picture a scene in which an Avenger has to channel the energy of the Infinity Gauntlet through their body and winds up getting killed in the process. Either that, or said Avenger has to wield the power of the Gauntlet themselves in order to close a death-inducing black hole/vortex/dimensional rift and is killed in the process. You get the idea. It'll be sad.
