Batman V Superman: 9 Big Questions The Trailer Didn't Answer
2. Wheres The Joker?
It's not terribly likely that we'll see The Joker in any real way during Batman v Superman's running time, unless DC and Warner want to drum up a bit of extra excitement with a cameo ahead of Suicide Squad's August release date, but he does loom large in the trailer. For a start there's that comment from Bruce to Clark about Gotham not having a good history with people who dress as clowns and then there's the aforementioned graffitied costume. There are no clues given as to what the Joker's status is during the events of BvS though. Is he rotting away in Arkham asylum? Is he on the loose somewhere? Or is he already presumed dead and merely casting a large shadow over Batman's personal and crimefighting life? Regardless of where he is it's inconceivable that we won't learn more about the Joker's past and present from his greatest enemy before Leto sweeps onto the screen later in the year.
