Batman V Superman: 9 Major Concerns From The New Trailer

9. It Looks Like An Ugly Cartoon

Ugly-looking superhero movie trailers are the "in thing" right now, apparently: first Captain America: Civil War, with its washed out, dystopian future greyness, and now this - a Batman V Superman trailer that has all the visual stylings of a mud slope. Yes, this new trailer has taken "brown" to a whole new level, but that's not the only issue. Whilst previous Batman V Superman trailers were dark but atmospheric, the feel of this new one is that of a cheap cartoon. There's almost no "weight" to the proceedings at all, as if Zack Snyder gave up shooting live-action halfway through filming, only to then declare "We'll do the rest in post-production!" to a bemused cast and crew. There's such an emphasis on CGI in this trailer that the sense of realism that was wholly present in the other trailers feels completely missing; what we have now is a big, lumbering cartoon with explosions and things flying about with psychics that feel completely alien to the grittier motion picture experience we thought we were getting.
