Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice - 8 Problems With The Established Universe
3. Rushing Into Justice League
DC and Warner Bros. famously tried to make a Justice League movie before with George Miller behind the camera - the team already cast and pre-production well underway before the studio cancelled the project. As part of the DC Cinematic Universe, the Justice League will finally hit the big screen in November 2017 as part of a mega-budget two-part adaptation. But are they rushing into it?
Many have speculated that the studio are getting to the Justice League as quickly as possible to create their own equivalent to The Avengers, with Joss Whedon's two movies grossing almost $3bn at the box office. However, Marvel had the benefit of five successful movies based on four characters, as well as the recurring appearances of S.H.I.E.L.D. and other supporting players before reaching the superhero team-up, something the DCCU won't have.
Only Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad will hit theaters before Justice League Part One, with the latter likely having little impact besides a possible role for Amanda Waller. This means that audiences will have little time to acquaint themselves with Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg and Green Lantern (presuming they make up the rest of the team) before they all fight side-by-side against a common enemy, and no amount of spectacular action sequences can make audiences invest in characters they don't really know anything about.
