Batman Vs Superman: 7 Things You Need To Know About Cyborg

6. He Is (Now) A Founding Member Of The Justice League

How could a character created in 1980 possibly be a founding member of the Justice League when DC's premiere super-team was created two decades earlier? While it's true that it would've been impossible for Cyborg to appear in the 1960 issue of The Brave and the Bold #28 that introduced the Justice League, he was in the October 2011 issue of Justice League #1. That issue launched the current continuity of DC Comics known as The New 52. This issue began retelling the origin of the Justice League in this new universe, which now consisted of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg. Cyborg replaces Martian Manhunter, who has been traditionally depicted as a founding member of the Justice League. This is now the official continuity of DC Comics. From founding member of the New Teen Titans to a founding member of the Justice League -- that's quite a promotion!
