Batman Vs Superman Movie: 10 Beautiful Details It Must Have
6. The One-On-One Conversations
For all the fight scenes, the master-plans to conquer the planet, and the outrageously good special effects, it was often the scenes where Russell Crowe's Jor-El spoke to his son from beyond the grave, or when Jonathan Kent lent advice to the youngster, that the film thrived from most. Though much of the dialogue wasn't particularly poetic or thought-provoking, it was a fascinating look into the relationships that Clarke has with people. The way that Henry Cavill seemed to gape open-mouthed at meeting his late father was beautifully acted, and likewise, the conversation with his mother about how he'd found where he was from was both hugely realistic and genuinely affecting. These are the kind of conversations that build characters, and Goyer used them to turn a scared little boy into a hero who knew his right from wrong. It would be interesting to see the kind of dialogue that Clark engages in now he's a little bit more confident, older, and presumably, facing a weaker foe; but as his relationship with Lois progresses, it will interesting to see how their conversations lead him to become a more passionate character, with more and more to protect.
