8. Bruce Wayne Goes To Smallville

With Clark Kent visiting Gotham, it's not all that surprising that Batman reciprocates by heading to Smallville. There is some suggestion that Superman will go AWOL - whether because he is wracked with guilt over the events that surrounded Zod's death at the end of Man Of Steel, or because something else (like the damage to Gotham or Metropolis that compounds public feeling about him) forces him away. Perhaps Bruce Wayne's trip to Smallville is part of his attempt to find Superman after he disappears; or it might be that Clark Kent and Superman fake their deaths in order to escape the guilt of destroying Metropolis (plus the secondary trigger). Leaked filming supposedly put Bruce Wayne at Smallville cemetery, which perhaps suggests that he not only discovers Superman's secret identity, but also that he's found out he's "dead."
