As is the grand tradition in MCU movies, Ulysses Klaue is something of a loose end for Black Panther (just as Baron Von Strucker was when he was introduced in The Winter Soldier and despatched so quickly in Age Of Ultron). He's on borrowed time from the opening credits.

But, thanks to Andy Serkis' hugely entertaining - and efficiently unlikeable performance - he's still a good presence as the secondary villain. Even better, his sonic blaster arm isn't as goofy as it looked like it might be in the trailers.

He's a creep, a monster and a proper pantomime villain and his dynamic with Killmonger is one of the pillars on which Erik's more complex villainy is built.
