Captain America: Civil War - 10 Characters That Could Steal The Show

5. Crossbones

The villainous origin story of Frank Grillo€™s Brock Rumlow began in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent being revealed as an undercover HYDRA operative. He first fought Steve Rogers in that iconic lift scene, and went on to be severely crushed and burned in the mult-Helicarrier mayhem of that film€™s third act. In Captain America: Civil War, he€™ll be back for revenge in a big way. Rumlow€™s revenge rampage has the potential to be a defining element of Civil War. While most of the characters will be fighting over government legislation, Rumlow €“ now fully kitted out as the supervillain Crossbones €“ will be fighting a very personal battle against Steve Rogers. He hates Cap for getting him so disfigured during The Winter Soldier, and Cape hates him because he€™s the human manifestation of Steve Rogers€™ distrust for the government. When these two fight again, the stakes will be super high. It€™s going to be epic, watching these two professional brawlers really go to town on each other. There will be disdainful dialogue and really hard punches, which is bound to make an impression in a film that€™s otherwise bound to be filled with fantasy action and snarky one-liners. Between all that superhero showboating, Rumlow will bring a more genuine-seeming personal vendetta to the fray.
