Disney Plus: 13 Major New Details Just Revealed

11. Love, Simon TV Show In The Works

Love Simon Nick Robinson
Fox

Love, Simon was one of the best movies of last year, mixing humour and pathos for a great new spin on the coming-of-age genre. With Disney purchasing Fox, they're going to build upon its success, with a TV series in the works based upon the sequel to the book, Leah on the Offbeat, from author Becky Albertalli.

The series won't be overseen by Greg Berlanti, who directed Love, Simon, because of his overall deal with Warner Bros. TV. The film's writers, Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker, will return however to serve as showrunners of the series, which is set to feature an all-new cast. This focuses on Leah, Simon's best friend (played by Katherine Langford in the movie), as she attempts to navigate college.
