Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness: 10 HUGE Missed Opportunities

4. There Was No Wiccan & Speed

The last year or so in the MCU has seen the franchise introduce a handful of characters that could potentially make up a Young Avengers team. America Chavez now joins the likes of Kate Bishop, Eli Bradley, Kid Loki, and soon a recast Cassie Lang.

When WandaVision was released, you would have bet your life that Billy and Tommy’s birth would ultimately lead to the creation of their comic book super alter egos, Wiccan and Speed. The former has his mother’s powers, the latter his uncle’s, and both would have made for great additions to this potential team.

Now however, this looks as unlikely as before the boys were ever introduced. Though the entire movie revolved around Wanda doing whatever she could, using the unparalleled power of the Darkhold to find them, she has now put those dreams to rest.

Whether Wanda perished at the end of the Multiverse of Madness or not, there doesn’t seem to be any real reason for them to be brought into the main Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline to take their place next to the Young Avengers. Wanda has accepted that she cannot be with them, so why else would they find themselves on Earth-616?
