The Ten Rings had made their first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe right at the very beginning, as they were hired by Obadiah Stane to kidnap and kill Tony Stark. They were then appropriated by Aldrich Killian in Iron Man 3 before returning in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

This gave fans their first real, in depth view of the organization and their true leader, demonstrating the power they have gained through all aspects of life for over a thousand years. However, when Wenwu was killed, they were left leaderless.

Xialing was supposedly dismantling the last remnants of the army, but in reality it appears that she has now taken her father’s death as the opportunity to run it herself. Her troops were in intense training as she sat upon her throne, while audiences were promised that the Ten Rings would return.

There have since been rumours that this will be in the form of a series on Disney+, though it is unlikely she will be happy running the Ten Rings without the artefacts for which the army took its name. Surely this is a sign that she will cross paths with her brother once again, potentially in a Shang-Chi sequel on the big screen, and there are even theories that she will tie in with Sharon Carter's Power Broker from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
