3. Untitled Boba Fett Film
Thinking back to the original trilogy, no one seems more done dirty than Boba Fett, who barely says a word, never kills anyone on-screen, and falls into the mouth of a Sarlaac when accidentally hit by a blind Han Solo. Is this really the only cinematic portrayal of the famed bounty hunter, aside from his child counterpart in the prequels?
In Legends, Boba Fett had a far more successful career. Boba escapes the Sarlaac Pit thanks to his quick thinking and Mandalorian armour. Battling well into his seventies, the green-clad bounty hunter led the Mandalorians through several battles in the expanded universe. Boba Fett is screaming for a spinoff, yet was another casualty of Disney’s re-evaluation of the Star Wars saga.
With the success of The Mandalorian, it becomes all the more apparent that a Boba Fett movie would have had an audience. In fact, the end of episode 5's The Gunslinger hinted at Boba Fett's return, with Attack of the Clones' Temuera Morrison set to play the iconic bounty hunter in season 2. How he escaped thew Sarlaac Pit? No idea. But fans are thrilled he did.
