4. Kevin Conroy

For many Batman fans, Kevin Conroy is THE undisputed voice of Batman, and while there may be some safety in the fact that he is "protected" by only doing vocal work, that would be horribly reductive.

Conroy's chief virtue is in his ability to transition between the smooth, warm charisma of Bruce Wayne and the colder, more detached spirit of Batman. And at no stage, crucially, does he make you question that this is two sides of the same coin.

He is effortlessly, gloriously watchable, and there's good reason he is considered Mr Animated Batman.

The fact that Conroy and Mark Hamill's assocation with any animated Batman feature is met with a tidal wave of excitement is testament in itself to their importance.
