2. The Original Ghostbusters Are Barely In It

Naturally much of the film's attention has been directed towards the legacy cast, what with Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts all agreeing to appear in Afterlife.

But if you're hoping to see the original Ghostbusters show up for anything beyond an extended cameo that takes place in a single location, you need to massively lower your expectations in order to avoid disappointment.

Without going into too much detail, the original trio are in the movie for around 10 minutes of the third act, and though their presence should raise a smirk to all but the most jaded fans, it ultimately doesn't amount to much at all.

It would've been far more enjoyable if Peter, Ray, and Winston were brought into the fold earlier and we actually got to see numerous scenes of them riffing off one another and hanging out with their younger successors.

Instead, it ends up feeling rushed and more than a little perfunctory, that after years of trying to get Murray in particular back on-board, the gang probably filmed all their scenes together against a green screen over like two days.
